Rules, without writing any
When a word keeps going to the same folder, iFiley offers to make it a rule. One yes, and it's a sure match from then on. Or give a folder a word of your own.
Your clouds, your Mac, your drives
Add Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, iCloud Drive, Box, folders on your Mac or an external drive. Read a cloud whole, or just the folders you choose. New folders are picked up on their own.
Shows its working
Every file you put away teaches that folder what it's about. Open any folder and you can see the words behind every guess. You can make new folders and subfolders from here too.
Never skips anything quietly
Signature images and installers are held back, not filed. Each one says why, stays exactly where it landed, and is one click from being filed anyway.
Shrinks it on the way in
PDFs and images come down to a size you choose. Only the pictures inside get smaller, so the text still searches and selects.

Undo, for everything
iFiley only ever moves files. Every filing sits in Activity with an Undo beside it, and Delete sends a file to the Trash, never gone for good.

Fair questions.
Do I have to set up rules?
No. There's no “if the name contains X, move it to Y” to maintain. It works from the folders you already have and learns from what you file. When a word keeps going to the same folder, it offers to make that a rule, and one yes is all it takes. You can also give a folder a word or two of your own.
Does it read my documents?
Yes, on your Mac. That's how it tells a contract from a council notice. iFiley never sends what it reads anywhere.
Which clouds does it work with?
Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, iCloud Drive and Box, any other cloud folder in Library ▸ CloudStorage, and any folder on your Mac or an external drive. It files into the folders those apps already keep on your Mac, so your cloud syncs them the way it always does.
What if it picks the wrong folder?
It only offers a folder as the one when it's sure. When it isn't, it asks where the file should go, with a few that might fit, your pinned folders and your recent ones, and you can type any folder's name. And if you've already filed it, Undo puts it back.
What happens when the trial ends?
Filing stops until you buy, and iFiley tells you so rather than quietly doing nothing. New files still land and wait in the Inbox, untouched. Everything you've already filed stays exactly where you put it, and Undo still works.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. Email support@ifiley.com within 14 days of a payment, a yearly renewal included, and you get all of it back. No form and no questions. That key stops working once the refund goes through, and it's one refund per customer.
Is it a menu bar app?
No, it's a normal Mac app with a window and a Dock icon. There's an optional menu bar item so it can keep catching files with the window closed. Turn that off and closing the window quits it.
How many Macs does a licence cover?
One Mac, or up to five with Family. Moving to a new Mac? Choose Deactivate this Mac in Settings on the old one, then enter your key on the new one.
